Im Best When Im in Love and Baby I'm in Love With You Lyics

Picture this: You've orchestrated the perfect calm date for your significant other, featuring candles, wine, and a lovingly home-cooked (or lovingly ordered via app) dinner. But just as your person texts you that they're on their way, you realize that you take no idea what sort of music to play to retain the romantic ambience. After all, you can't have your early 2000s guilty pleasure songs come up on shuffle while yous're trying to stare lovingly into your partner'southward optics (aught ruins the mood like the distinctive "youuuuuu" at the beginning of "Soulja Boy." And aye, that case is based on a truthful story).

Anyway, I've got you covered with my list of the about beautiful, hopeful, and achingly romantic songs ever written (in my humble opinion). You'll have your trounce/partner/Bumble date swooning.

"ROS" - Mac Miller

Most romantic lyrics: "I'1000 in your heart, I'grand in your dream/ So fuck the world it's you and me"

Rationale: When the outside world becomes cruel, many couples turn inward and develop that us-against-the-world mindset. In "ROS," Mac Miller captures what it's like to experience shut to someone, spending much of this song describing the little things he loves about his partner, similar her "stained glass" eyes, butterscotch-scented pare, and kiwi-flavored lips. The lyrics are intimate in every way, and Mac delivers them with his characteristic rawness.

"These Arms of Mine" - Otis Redding

Most romantic lyrics: "These arms of mine, they are lonely/ Lonely and feeling blue/ These artillery of mine, they are yearning/ Yearning from wanting you lot"

Rationale: This vocal hits me right in the chest. Information technology'due south impossible not to feel your artillery and chest aching like Reddings' when he sings virtually burning to hold his lover. The music crescendos effectually his smooth vocalism as he begs,  "And if y'all would let them concord you lot/ Oh, how grateful I would be." It's such a sweet, hostage plea for beloved, and its focus on physicality is pretty sexy, too.

"Ex Factor" - Lauryn Hill

Most romantic lyrics: "See, no ane loves you more than me/ and no one ever will"

Rationale: No one knows how to obliterate me emotionally quite like Lauryn Hill does. In "Ex Cistron" (and on this whole anthology, let's be real), she's vulnerable, baring all her devotion to her beau. We recognize straightaway that her human relationship is toxic, but Hill'due south honesty is so cute that we humble listeners have no choice but to sit down, transfixed, and listen.

"Skinny Love" - Bon Iver

Most romantic lyrics: "Told my love to wreck it all/ Cut out all the ropes and allow me autumn"

Rationale: When this song came out in 2007, I was in middle school. I could not stop singing it as I traipsed through my house, near-tears every bit I crooned about "the sink of blood and crushed veneer," as though my twelve years on earth had been rife with tragic honey diplomacy.

Nevertheless, this song still holds upwards. Bon Iver is a master at depicting what it's like to fully give up yourself to someone while enlightened that they may injure you in the end. I notwithstanding sing this song while I lounge around my footling studio flat, drawing on existent-life experiences this time, though I assure you lot that none of them involved blood-filled sinks or crushed veneers.

"Leather and Lace" - Stevie Nicks & Don Henley

Most romantic lyrics: "Lovers forever, confront to face up/ My city, your mountains/ Stay with me, stay/ I demand you to love me/ I need you lot today/ Give me to me your leather, take from me my lace"

Rationale: This is Stevie Nicks' lyricism at its most poignant. She wrote "Leather and Lace" herself and so performed it with Don Henley (of The Eagles) while they were dating. This duet is beautiful in and of itself, but their chemistry and passion for each other makes it all the more than impactful. An ex played this for me once, unprompted, and I remember thinking, My God, dude. Why would you practice this to me?

Wrecked.

The Way You Look Tonight" - Frank Sinatra

Well-nigh romantic lyrics: "Lovely, never, never change/ continue that breathless charm/ won't you lot delight arrange it?/ 'Cause I love you/ Just the mode you expect tonight"

Rationale: Ah, yes. The song that plays at every wedding on earth. Popular songs are popular for a reason, though, and this i endures because of the accepting, unconditional sort of love that it depicts. In addition to Sinatra'southward version, I'm likewise fractional to Fred Astaire'south rendition in the 1936 film Swing Fourth dimension and the sweet still natural language-in-cheek visuals go along with it.

"Everlasting Calorie-free" - The Blackness Keys

Almost romantic lyrics: "Let me be your everlasting light/ Your train going away from pain/ Dearest is the coal that makes this train roll/ Permit me be your everlasting calorie-free"

Rationale: If y'all read the lyrics without the music, the whole song sounds kind of like a late nineteenth century poem. The love in this song is and so pure and hopeful, and you'll definitely gain absurd-points by playing The Black Keys on a beginning date.

"To Know Him Is To Love Him" - Amy Winehouse

Nigh romantic lyrics: "To know, know, know him/ Is to dear, love, love him/ Merely to see that smile/ Makes my life worthwhile"

Rationale: No 1 does unbridled love like Amy Winehouse. Her soulful vox takes center phase in this Phil Spector cover, and if you're not already in love, it will make you want to be.

"Like Real People Practise" - Hozier

Well-nigh romantic lyrics: "I will non ask you where you came from/ I will not ask you lot, neither should you/ Honey, just put your sweet lips on my lips/ We should just kiss like real people do"

Rationale: Here, Hozier is trying to convince his love involvement to forget that they both accept pasts (who doesn't?) and to merely love him. There's a sense that both people in the song consider themselves odd in some way (once again, who doesn't?), and that they've been searching for partners like each other for ages. "Like Real People Practice" reminds the states of how miraculous information technology feels to love and be loved dorsum.

"Tin't Take My Eyes Off You" - Franki Valli & The 4 Seasons

Most romantic lyrics: "You're just as well good to exist true/ Can't take my eyes off of you/ You'd be like sky to touch/ I wanna concord you so much"

Rationale: To quote every Boomer from my home state of New Bailiwick of jersey: They just don't brand 'em like this anymore. And it's true―this vocal manages to residue emotional and sexual yearning without being crude.

And only... the gratitude Valli feels when he sings nigh loving his girl then much that he thanks God he'southward live. My Lord. They really just exercise not make 'em quite similar this anymore.

"Forrest Gump" - Frank Sea

Most romantic lyrics: "My fingertips and my lips/ They burn from the cigarettes/ Forrest Gump, you run my mind, boy/ Running on my mind, male child"

Rationale: This is Frank Sea's nearly criminally underrated song and I will fight anyone who has anything negative to say about it. In fact, I one time made a very loud, spirited defense of this vocal when I was in high school, right after Ocean's ill-received functioning of information technology at the 2013 Grammys.

The vocal is told from the perspective of Jenny in the 1994 motion picture Forrest Gump. It's about a broken, tired person coming back to their pure, indelible love after a bully deal of time has passed. It'southward especially meaningful, in my opinion, considering Ocean penned the song in the wake of his very public coming-out.

"Accept Me The Fashion I Am" - Ingrid Michaelson

Most romantic lyrics: "'Cause I dearest you more than than I could ever hope/ And you lot take me the way I am"

Rationale: What a throwback! Ingrid Michaelson was responsible for some of the sweetest manic-pixie-dream-girl honey songs of the early 2000s, and this one was her nigh pop. Michaelson rejoices in having found a partner who loves her, flaws and all, and she responds in kind, promising to repair what her partner breaks and purchase him Rogaine when his hair starts falling out. It's a promise to honey someone forever.

"I'm Not Expressionless" - P!nk

Nigh romantic lyrics: "Right beyond the cigarette and the devilish smile/You're my crack of sunlight/ You can practice the math a thousand ways/ Simply you tin can't erase the facts/ That others come and others go/ Simply yous always come back"

Rationale: This is my favorite era of P!nk's music. In "I'm Non Dead," she writes a frank, unapologetic love song almost being a flawed homo deeply in beloved with some other flawed human. Waxing poetic most her and her boyfriend's (her future husband, Cary Hart, past the manner) tattoos and alluding to her own mental affliction, P!nk eschews all tired clichés most love in favor of something far more authentic and affecting.

"Hannah Hunt" - Vampire Weekend

About romantic lyrics: "A human of faith said hidden eyes could see what I was thinkin'/ I but smiled and told him/ That was only true of Hannah"

Rationale: Oh, Ezra Koenig, how you wound me with your beautiful words! In this song, our narrator seems to be moving around the U.S. with his dearest Hannah until she grows homesick for the east coast. Having lived in New England for around seven years, I'grand partial to this song for its "freezing beaches" references, just it'southward also a gentle tribute to the way time glides away when you lot're with someone you honey.

"A Vocal For You" - Donny Hathaway

Nigh romantic lyrics: "I love y'all in a place/ Where there's no space or time/ I love you for my life/ You lot're a friend of mine/ And when my life is over/ Retrieve when we were together"

Rationale: In that location have been many versions of this song, but this one'south my favorite. It was also Amy Winehouse'south favorite. Donny Hathaway sings this with such feeling that i tin can't help but feel he's reciting a memoir when he sings his apology to a woman he neglected to settle downward with because he was besides busy performing around the world.

"Maps" - Aye Yes Yeahs

Most romantic lyrics: "Don't stray/ My kind's your kind/ I'll stay the same."

Rationale: Yes, this song is 90 per centum but Karen O singing "Expect, they don't dearest you like I love you," simply it's so powerful! If you lot say something the correct mode, and the accompanying music is good enough, there'southward no need to embellish much more. Proof: Beyoncé clearly nods to this song in her 2016 unmarried "Hold Up." "Maps" endures, over a decade afterward, across genres.

"If I Own't Got You" - Alicia Keys

Most romantic lyrics: "Some people want diamond rings/ Some just want everything/ But everything means nothing/ If I ain't got you"

Rationale: This song is all the more touching when you lot recall that she wrote it simply as she was beginning to get famous. She promises that her renown―the fruit of all her labor―forth with promises of riches, jewelry, or endless life would all mean naught if she didn't accept her man.

"Pine Tree Lines" - Told Camber

Most romantic lines: "I am the girl my parents made/ Why don't you love me anyway/ 'Cause I love the way yous take up space"

Rationale: Devastating genius. Lead singer Felix Walworth delivers this song then earnestly that his vox literally cracks during that terminal line. I've never heard a simpler or more startlingly accurate delineation of adoration than loving the way someone takes up space.

"Inevitable" - Shakira

Most romantic lyrics: "To be even more honest/ No one thinks about yous/ The way I exercise" (Translated from Spanish)

Rationale: Shakira spends most of this song laying out all her imperfections―that she doesn't know how to make java, that she doesn't sympathize soccer, that she oversleeps, etc.―and then gain to ask her man to dear her anyway.

"I Found Y'all" - Alabama Shakes

Most romantic lyrics: "I call up all them lone days/ I traveled out on my own/ And so you brought me everything/ You made my house a dwelling"

Rationale: This is a celebration of finally finding your person. So who meliorate to mind to it with than your person? Romantic, indeed.

"Rag Doll" - Franki Valli & The Four Seasons

Most romantic lines: "I'd change her deplorable rags/ Into glad rags if I could/ My folks won't let me/ 'Cause they say that she's no expert."

Rationale: Another Four Seasons song, aye. I'chiliad from Jersey. Sue me.

Franki Valli declares his unconditional love for a daughter much poorer than he is, fantasizing about replacing her tattered wearing apparel with lace and finery. In spite of her poverty, he ends the vocal past crying, "I dearest you simply the way you lot are."

He wants to requite everything to someone who tin offer him nothing textile. All he wants is her.

"Since I've Been Loving You lot" - Led Zeppelin

Most romantic lyrics: "But baby, since I've been loving y'all, yep/ I'thou about to lose my worried mind/ Oh, yeah"

Rationale: Human, these lyrics look so underwhelming when written downwardly sans musical accompaniment. It's tragic.

What makes this song and then romantic, to me, is the organ and bass work by John Paul Jones pair with Robert Plant'southward searing vocals. Information technology's a power blues vocal that hits you right in the gut. If desperate want were a sound, this would be it.

"You Got Me" - Erykah Badu and The Roots

Nigh romantic lines: "If y'all don't worry 'tour where/ I been or who I saw  or/ What lodge I went to with my homies/ Baby, don't worry, you know that you got me"

Rationale: I cried when I saw this alive. Erykah reassures her boyfriend during the chorus that she'll always be loyal to him, while Blackness Thought (pb MC of The Roots) uses his verses to tell the story of a lifelong romance. Information technology'southward the all-time love vocal in hip hop, hands down.

"(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman - Aretha Franklin

Most romantic lyrics: "When my soul was in the lost and plant/ Yous came along to claim it/ I didn't know simply what was wrong with me/ 'Til your kiss helped me proper noun information technology"

Rationale: Nosotros should heal ourselves rather than wait around for someone to heal us, but that doesn't mean that love can't be a healing feel. It's really romantic to thank someone for making you feel good, and that's precisely what this vocal (written by the flawless Carole King) is about.

"Jade" - Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros

Most romantic lyrics: "We tin can't help only follow, she'south Buddha, just watch her/ She moves like an erstwhile gypsy woman but swears she's a girl/ And all that she asks we'll allow her/ For Jade is the girl of the hr"

Rationale: Alex Ebert wrote this song for Jade Castrinos when they were both still dating and nevertheless the frontpeople of Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros. The vocal is a repose love alphabetic character to Castrinos―you could imagine Ebert singing it to her at night by the campfire while the balance of the ring is asleep (that's this band'south vibe, really). It's a shame that we no longer get to lookout man the sweet relationship between these talented musicians, just at least nosotros'll e'er accept this hippie love vocal.

"Wild Horses" - The Rolling Stones

Most romantic lyrics: "Graceless lady/ You know who I am/ You know I can't let you/ Slide through my easily/ Wild horses/ Couldn't drag me abroad"

Rationale: I of the wildest bands of the '60s and '70s also happened to write 1 of the most poignant songs well-nigh dearest and devotion. This is nearly a long, deep intimacy between 2 people, and of beingness physically unable to resist the person you adore.

"Jim Bogart" - The Forepart Bottoms

Well-nigh romantic lyrics: "I would slumber better on your floor/ Than I would ever in my bed/ And if your carpeting makes my face itch/ It'd even so be heaven in my caput"

Rationale: "Jim Bogart" opens with the above lyrics, sung with lead singer Brian Sella'south signature raw vocals. He abandons all pride in his beloved for this daughter, promising to practice his guitar every night, to slumber on her floor without complaint, and to to ignore his doctor's communication―all to win her honey. We shouldn't have to debase ourselves for beloved (*rolls optics* yeah, yeah yeah), but this is art. And if nosotros're being honest, this sentiment is relatable for anyone who'due south prayed for their dearest to be reciprocated.

"Loving You" - Elvis Presley

About romantic lyrics: "If I'm seen with someone new/ Don't be blue, don't yous be blueish/ I'll exist faithful, I'll be true/ Always true, true to y'all"

Rationale: Elvis tells his love not to become jealous or to believe the hype around him and other women, reassuring her that she's the 1 for him. Although multiple sources have claimed that Elvis did, indeed, cheat on his wife, Priscilla, this remains his sweetest love song.

"Melissa" - The Allman Brothers Band

Nigh romantic lyrics: "Knowing many, loving none/ Bearin' sorrow, havin' fun/ Simply back dwelling he'll always run/ To sweet Melissa"

Rationale: Hither, the Allman Brothers sing about a traveling musician who tin't get over his sweetheart no affair how many other women he meets. She always ends up resurfacing in his listen, and eventually, he always returns to her.

"My Old Human being" - Joni Mitchell

Most romantic lyrics: "He's my sunshine in the morning/ He'southward my fireworks at the end of the twenty-four hours/ He's the warmest chord I ever head/ Play that warm chord, play and stay, babe"

Rationale: Mitchell'southward soaring mezzo-soprano meanders through a portrait of her relationship in this song, insisting throughout that, "We don't need no piece of paper from the city hall." She's saying that she doesn't need external validation of the relationship―this man gives her all she needs to feel secure in their bond.

"Devil In a New Dress" - Kanye Westward, Rick Ross

Nigh romantic lyrics: "Put your hands to the constellations/ The way you wait should be a sin, yous my sensation"

Rationale: Kanye W is a pretty polarizing effigy, only this is nevertheless one of my favorite albums of all time. It'southward a bittersweet tribute to his infamous relationship with Amber Rose, and this song encapsulates the often-sexy, ever-complicated connexion between two people who aren't good for each other, still can't stay away from one another.

"Love of My Life (An Ode to Hip Hop)" - Erykah Badu, Common

Nigh romantic lyrics: "But that is all behind me/ 'Cause now there is no other/ My dearest is his and his is mine/ A friend became the/ Love of my life"

Rationale: Conventional communication tells united states to fall in love with someone who tin be our  friend, too. This song is about two lifelong best friends who find their style back to each other after fourth dimension spent apart. With her famously beguiling vocalisation, Erykah Badu captures the joy of being truly known by i'southward partner.

"A Sunday Kind of Love" - Etta James

Most romantic lyrics: "I want a Sunday kind of dear/ A love to terminal past Saturday night/ I desire to know it'south more than than love at showtime sight"

Rationale: We've all been at this indicate before. If Etta James were to have written this song today, she would have been explaining that she was ill of one-night-stands and Tinder/Bumble/Hinge dates that go nowhere. She'd exist saying she was tired of sweaty strangers in bars shouting into her ear, over deafening music, asking if she wants to have a shot.

Instead, she'd desire something substantial. Someone to relax and binge Schitt's Creek reruns with on the weekends.

May we all find that Dominicus kind beloved.

"Baby I'm Yours" - Arctic Monkeys

Near romantic lyrics: "Babe, I'yard yours/ And I'll be yours until the stars fall from the heaven/ Yours until the rivers all run dry out/ In other words, until I die"

Rationale: This vocal sounds similar it was written in the '50s or '60s. In some ways, it's your run-of-the-mill dull song, but there's something charming almost the Arctic Monkeys being the ones to perform this retro pledge of devotion.

"She Will Be Loved" - Maroon 5

About romantic lyrics:"I don't mind spendin' everyday / Out on your corner in the pourin' rain"

Rationale:I remember listening to this song in middle school, wishing that the male child I had a shell on would love me enough to stand up outside my window in the rain. In retrospect, that would have been awkward and inconvenient to explain to my mother, and these days I would probably notice such behavior creepy (when I'k in my pajamas in my apartment, peacefully eating Takis and watching The Sopranos, the last thing I need is a man continuing exterior, watching me from the street similar something out of The Exorcist), but the sentiment of this song notwithstanding stands.

"Because the Night" - Patti Smith

Most romantic lyrics: "Come up on, now, try and sympathize/ The mode I experience when I'm in your hands/ Have my hand, come up cloak-and-dagger/ They can't hurt y'all now"

Rationale: In this song, which was originally written by lyrical legend Bruce Springsteen, Smith promises her lover that he's safe with her. If you've read Smith's book Only Kids, you'll probably mind to this vocal and call back of her and Robert Mapplethorpe singing and dancing to it downwardly the streets of lower Manhattan.

"La Vie En Rose" - Edith Piaf

Most romantic lyrics: "When he holds me in his arms/ And he speaks to me softly/ I see the earth through rose-colored glasses" (Translated from French)

Rationale: You definitely know this vocal. It's the go-to for every romantic scene in every American picture about France. And, granted, it's a dandy choice for a dinner date, especially if you want to get a fiddling deadening dancing started.

"Someday" - The Growlers

Nearly romantic lyrics: "Just stay for ane more night/ One day you're gonna be my wife/ You lot'll never accept to worry again/ I'm gonna exist your man"

Rationale: Information technology sounds lead singer Brooks Nielsen's now-wife was getting really sick of his bullshit, and that he wrote this song every bit a plea to get her to say. Information technology'south poetic, energetic, and hopeful, and it would have worked on me, too, tbh.

"Wouldn't It Be Nice" - The Beach Boys

Most romantic lyrics: "Wouldn't it be nice if we were older?/ Then we wouldn't have to wait then long"

Rationale: This is sung from the perspective of someone who'due south already certain virtually who he wants to spend the remainder of his life with. And he'south wishing that the rest of his life could get-go right at present.

"Stay" - Rihanna, Mikky Ekko

Near romantic lyrics: "Not really sure how to experience virtually it/ Somethin' in the manner you move/ Makes me feel like I can't live without you"

Rationale: Love isn't a formula. There's no real logic to why we fall in dear with some people but non others, and Rihanna hits the nail on the caput when she says it'south just "something in the way [he] move[south]." It's reminiscent of The Beatles' song "Something." Speaking of which...

"Something" - The Beatles

Nigh romantic lyrics: "Something in the way she moves / Attracts me like no other lover / Something in the way she woos me / I don't want to get out her at present"

Rationale:This song is a slow, dreamy ode on an otherwise bluesy anthology. George Harrison was the Beatle who penned information technology, writing that he wasn't sure what exactly triggered his dearest or whether it would grow.  All he knew was that the love was in that location, and that that should be enough.

"Androgynous" - The Replacements

Most romantic lyrics: "And they love each other so/ Androgynous/ Closer than nosotros know, love each other so/ Androgynous"

Rationale: This vocal is about two not-binary people falling in beloved, which is pretty cool for a song from 1984. Our main characters, archetypically named Dick and Jane, love each other regardless of gender. The Replacements make a compelling argument well-nigh why traditional gender roles and habiliment should make no divergence if you lot're truly in dear with someone.

"I'll Be Seeing You" - Billie Holiday

About romantic lyrics: "I'll find you in the morning sun/ In every lovely summer'due south mean solar day/ In everything that'south right and gay/ I'll always think of you"

Rationale: You lot know when you lot're freshly in dear (or heartbroken), and everything reminds yous of that person? That's what this song is near. Everything around Holiday―the natural world, a park, a cafe, a carousel―is a fond reminder of her beloved.

"Sunday Candy" - Donnie Trumpet & The Social Experiment

Virtually romantic lyrics: "Y'all've got to motion it slowly/ Take information technology in my trunk like it's holy/ I've been waiting for you for the whole calendar week/ I've been praying for you, y'all're my Sunday candy"

Rationale: The Social Experiment is the hip hop collective that boasts members such equally Chance the Rapper and Vic Mensa (the former of which is featured heavily on this vocal). Jamila Woods performs the chorus to this song and then sweetly that it's piece of cake to forget the sexual implications, and she and Gamble tell the story of a couple that spends a week at a fourth dimension missing each other, absorbed in thoughts of ane another until they're finally reunited.

"Come As You Are" - Nirvana

Most romantic lyrics: "Come every bit yous are/ Equally you were/ Every bit I desire you lot to be"

Rationale: There are many interpretations of what this song ways, ranging from mental health to friendship to commentary on inauthenticity. Only, to me, "Come Every bit You Are" works as the ultimate grunge love song; as a promise to love and appreciate someone only the manner they are.

"Please, Please, Please" - James Dark-brown

Most romantic lyrics: "Infant please, infant please, please me/ Baby please, babe delight don't become/ Don't go, I said baby, don't baby/ I love you and then"

Rationale: This song is almost entirely comprised of James Dark-brown repeating "delight," and, supposedly, he got a lot of flack from his producers about that earlier its release. But, like the Yeah Yeah Yeahs' "Maps," this track's magic lies in the passion with which it'southward delivered–and James Dark-brown is nothing if not passionate.

"I Will Always Love You" - Dolly Parton

Most romantic lyrics: "And I hope life will treat you kind/ And I hope that you have all/ That y'all e'er dreamed of/ Oh, I do wish you joy/ And I wish you happiness/ But in a higher place all this/ I wish you love"

Rationale: Without a doubtfulness, you're familiar with Whitney Houston'due south rendition of "I Will Always Love Yous," only I beloved Dolly Parton's soft-spoken, land version too. Where Houston belts, Parton croons, making this a dandy alternative for when you want to hear this song on a quiet evening in.

 "Songbird" - Fleetwood Mac

Most romantic lyrics: "And I wish you all the love in the world/ Merely nearly of all, I wish information technology from myself/ And the songbirds go on singing/ Similar they know the score"

Rationale: Fleetwood Mac's members were notorious for hooking up inside their ranks, and Christine McVie (writer and primary vocalist on this song) was no exception. This is a unique love song, because it does unconditional love unlike any other: It illustrates how it's entirely possible to love someone and want the best for them while accepting, albeit sadly, that you might non be that best thing.

"First Day of My Life" - Bright Eyes

Virtually romantic lyrics: "But I realized I need yous/ And I wondered if I could come home"

Rationale: This Vivid Eyes track makes me wish I was better at playing guitar. Frontman Conor Oberst makes a frank plea for his beloved, telling her, "I'g glad I didn't die before I met you," and request for permission to arroyo. It's an exercise in startling honesty, and the issue, like the whole anthology, is profound.

"Ocean of Love" - Cat Power

About romantic lyrics: "Come with me, my beloved/ To the ocean, the bounding main of love/ I wanna tell you lot/ How much I dear you "

Rationale: Originally, the last song on this list was going to be T.I.'s "Whatever You Like" because I'thousand determined that it will play at my wedding 1 twenty-four hour period (I'm not kidding), merely "Sea of Dearest" is also romantic to pass up. With minimal instrumentation, Cat Power delivers a brief but heartfelt love alphabetic character whose genius lies in its profound simplicity. x/x.
